Driver Development Scheme

The Driver Development Scheme (DDS) is a platform for our current employees and prospective employees with excellent work histories and great work ethics to join our distribution team and start the journey to becoming a professional LGV driver.

This scheme would suit current 3.5t drivers or candidates who are looking to change direction and begin a career path in Distribution and to gain their LGV professional qualification.

This 6 month scheme involves training on Reynolds extensive product range, warehouse operations, driver assistant activities and completion of both theory and practical Class 2 HGV qualification. Once the Class 2 qualification is achieved our trainees then spend 8 weeks gaining valuable driving and customer service experience culminating in full Class 2 driver status. Our Driver assessors and Driver trainers will be at hand all the way through this learning process to ensure the right support is provided to our developing drivers.

Starting base salary is £20,000 p.a. rising to £25,160 after 13 weeks and £29,033 after 26 weeks dependent on passing a Class 2 driving qualification.

We are a 24/7 business and as most of our driving roles involve early morning starts the majority of our roles attract an additional £1,040 shift allowance and all our drivers are entitled to a performance related bonus of £1,000 p.a.
