HomeThe spirit of Christmas visits Reynolds

This December past, the Reynolds team were busy celebrating the spirit of Christmas.

Here’s a little about what we all got up to:

Christmas Jumper day

On 18th December 2015 the Reynolds team donned their Christmas Jumpers to raise money for Save the Children’s Christmas JumperDay, and what a festive affair it was! Christmas songs were playing and fairy lights were twinkling. See the cheers for yourselves on our facebook page

Held on the same day as the Reynolds Christmas lunch event, employees raised an impressive £341.50 for Save the Children.

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved in preparing and executing such a great day, and to Save the Children for their ongoing work.

Star Prizes:

  • James Bryan (Waltham Cross), who wins a bottle of Laurent Perrier Rose Champagne
  • Jayne Lay (Waltham Cross), who also wins a bottle of Laurent Perrier Rose Champagne
  • Neville Yates (Bristol), who wins a bottle of Courvoisier cognac

Streetlytes Christmas Dinner

Streetlytes

Reynolds was very pleased to support the amazing Streetlytes charity on the 21st December. Streetlytes focuses on offering practical help to the poor and homeless, guiding them back onto the road to recovery. Every month the volunteers provide over 600 people with a three course hot meal, access to free clothes, sleeping bags, supplies, medical care, advice and support. Many of their own volunteers have faced these issues themselves and therefore understand fully the needs of their clients.

Reynolds donated a range of fruit and vegetables, which was cooked in its entirety and eaten by 130 guests, with another another 50 locals living on their uppers receiving take-out boxes.

Christmas Card Campaign

Fiona Christmas card campaign

Since the Reynolds team decided in 2009 to stop sending Christmas cards to each other, and instead donate to a children’s charity, they have managed to raise an amazing £1,500.

This year the Reynolds Christmas card campaign raised a fantastic £231.93, all of which is being donated to Whipps Cross neonatal unit.

Fiona did another brilliant job taking round the collection tin. Noone is entirely sure what she promises in return, but whatever it is, it works! Well done Fiona!!!

A big thank you to all who contributed to this very worthwhile cause.

Santa Comes to Reynolds

Christmas 2015 - 2

Because we were all very good this year, Santa himself came to Reynolds to visit staff and their families.

Kids and parents alike were amazed that Santa could spare the time, but with the elves helping out, he was able to give out enough presents to everyone before heading out to his next destination. Thank you Santa and hopefully see you next year!
