The Food Standards Agency is now advising consumers to follow instructions on products' packaging. Sprouted seeds can be eaten raw if they are labelled 'ready-to-eat' or 'ready-to-wash'. All other sprouted seeds should be cooked thoroughly until steaming hot.

The majority of our customers use these products within a further cooked recipe where washing and subsequent heating reduces any product's risk. However, Reynolds advises customers to wash all fruit and vegetables thoroughly prior to use.

Reynolds has full traceability on all of its products. We source sprouts from approved suppliers which are produced from positively released seed and undergo rigorous final product analysis including product sanitising and washing regimes and microbiological analysis.
