For the fourth year running, Reynolds is proud to have helped the Action Against Hunger team raise urgently needed funds at the Taste of London festival, by providing some free fruit and vegetables for their pop-up restaurant.

Action Against Hunger, who have been a Taste of London charity partner for 10 years this year, run the pop-up restaurant working with top chef supporters to create their menu. With all proceeds from the restaurant going towards their worldwide programmes; the charity is recognised as a leader in the fight against child malnutrition around the world and is one of the UK’s food and drink industry’s charity of choice.

This years top chefs, Nieves Barragán Mohacho (Barrafina), Raymond Blanc, Jason Atherton (Pollen Street Social), Gizzi Erskine (chef and food writer) andShaun Searley (The Quality Chop House), each designed a 5 star burger exclusively for Taste of London visitors:

This year was the second highest amount that has ever been made on the restaurant. Around £20,000 was generated from burger sales, with 100% of this going towards important work around the world! You can read about what Action Against Hunger are doing in Syria, Niger and other areas of crisis here. To put this into context, £20,000 is enough to provide the nutrition treatment to save the lives of 476 severely malnourished children, or can provide emergency kits for 1,530 people which include a blanket, soap, bucket and tarpaulin in times of crisis.
